  • [SOLVED] Cannot flash CYW943907AEVAL1F Dev Kit using J-Flash tools using J-Link Plus

I have this CYW943907AEVAL1F Dev kit and trying to flash bin files to this MCU. But I am seeing this error (refer the screenshot).
Please let me know how to solve this issue.

  • Hello,

    Thank you for your inquiry.
The board you are using has only a serial flash equipped. That setup is currently not supported for the CYW43907 device family by our software.
The CYW43907 has a QSPI interface however so we will most likely be adding support in the next year.
We will put it on the list and support can be expected to be available at the end of Q2 2018.
Should you need support added faster than that you have the option to implement it yourself using our open flashloader interface: wiki.segger.com/Adding_Support_for_New_Devices

    Best regards,
    Nino
Please read the forum rules before posting.

Keep in mind, this is *not* a support forum.
Our engineers will try to answer your questions between their projects if possible but this can be delayed by longer periods of time.
Should you be entitled to support you can contact us via our support system: segger.com/ticket/

Or you can contact us via e-mail.
  • Nino,

    Thank you for the update.
We need this support ASAP to streamline our production process. But spending time on this SFlash driver development is challenging within the project timelines. It will be great if this part is fully supported ASAP.

Also we need the device support for MX25L6433FZNI-08G SFlash IC. This is the exact part# we are using in our design.

    Regards,
    Hari
  • Hi Hari,
We need this support ASAP to streamline our production process. But
spending time on this SFlash driver development is challenging within
    the project timelines.
As Nino already wrote, right now, QSPI is not supported, as there was 0 request for it so
far (you are the first one who ever asked).

We may add support for this setup as well
but I can neither promise anything at this point nor provide any schedules

as there are more requested projects right now which are on the
ToDo list until end of the year.

As Nino already wrote: If you need support ASAP, we recommend to implement it on your own using the Open Flashloader.

Eventually, we can offer you to create the flashloader for you. However, we would have to charge for this. To check the conditions, can you please let me know when you need support at the latest?

    Best regards
    Erik
