  • Evaluation Board: ADuC7030/32/33 : unable to halt ARM core

    Dear SEGGER moderator:

Hello, I am working with the evaluation board ADuC7030/32/33 from Analog Devices.

I have been using it for a couple of weeks but now I receive a message from the JTAG that it is unable to halt de ARM7 core.

I have read the post: unable to halt ARM core and this from Oliver: Software: Unable to halt arm core on STR7.

My problem is very similar but for other ARM core.

I have tested everthing reported in the post but I can execute my code.

The J-Ling log is this (note that I connect the EVAL Board in the middle of the test)

Once I change the ADuc7033 by desoldering it and installing a new one. I think that the new one had its on-chip factory firmware that supports JTAG reprogramming ok, and everything was OK.

But now, erasing and downloading the blinking Keil example [C source file ] in the EVAL Board [SCH+PCB ] is not possible.

Is there any way I can re-program the ARM micro without resoldering a new microcontroller.

    Thanks in advance.
  • Hi eb7dzp,

There seems to be a problem with the power supply for the JTAG interface,
since J-Link does not measure any voltage on JTAG pin 1,
as indicated by the output of J-Link commander:

    VTarget = 0.000V

So if no voltage is measured on pin 1 of the JTAG interface, J-Link can not work.
So all following operations will fail.

Could you please check if there is everything correctly with the power supply via pin 1?

    Best regards
    Alex
