  • [SOLVED] STM32F7 boot options not being programmed

    Hello,

The appropriate Flash Option bytes (more specifically the Boot Address Option bytes) are not being set when flashing.

    J-Link>device STM32F779BI
    J-Link>si SWD
    J-Link>speed 1000
    J-Link>r
    J-Link>h
    J-Link>loadfile C:\projects\test\release\test.hex

    J-Link>mem32 1fff0010,4
    1FFF0010 = FF7F0080 FF7F0080 FFBF0040 FFBF0040

    Can you please provide support?

    Kind regards,
    joel
  • Hi Joel,

do I understand you correctly that the .hex file does contain data for the address of the option bytes?
The J-Link flash loader only programs memory mapped flash.

For information on how to program the option bytes of the STM32F7, please refer to our wiki article: wiki.segger.com/STM32
and the documentation provided by ST.

    Best regards,
    Niklas
