  • [SOLVED] Unable to connect to EFM8 with J-Link

I am attempting to program/debug a Silicon Labs EFM8UB1 with my stand-alone J-Link. Simplicity Studio gives me an error (Failed to connect to target system, error code 131073).

The console gives me the following errors:
    C:\SiliconLabs\SimplicityStudio\v4\developer\adapter_packs\usb\usb_monitor.exe C:\SiliconLabs\SimplicityStudio\v4\developer\adapter_packs\usb\usb_monitor.exe -d -s
    C:\SiliconLabs\SimplicityStudio\v4\developer\adapter_packs\inspect_emdll\inspect_emdll.exe C:\SiliconLabs\SimplicityStudio\v4\developer\adapter_packs\inspect_emdll\inspect_emdll.exe -slist -sn 000XXXXXXXXX

    Trying J-Link commander also fails:

    J-Link>connect

Selected interface (6) is not supported by connected debug probe.
Any ideas about what's going wrong?
  • Hi,

sorry for the delay in response.
Both the C2 interface and 8051 cores in general are support by J-Link V9 and higher.
An overview of J-Link features depending of the hardware version can be found here:
