  • [SOLVED] Not connecting the Target MPU Power Supply Voltage sense pin (VTref)

    I have an application where only 6 wires are available from the MPU for flash programming (TMS, TCLK, TDO, TDI, Reset, Ground). Is it possible to not connect the VTref of the J-Link, and simply configure the probe for 3.3V in the driver software?

    Another consideration is to "spoof" the probe with a fake 3.3V (perhaps from a battery) on the VTref pin, but this seems less elegant that configuring the setting in the driver software.

    Unfortunately, there is not software solution available.
    SEGGER offers a special adapter called J-Link Supply Adapter which can be used for such purposes.
