  • [SOLVED] J-Link + ATSAMV71 displays 'not supported'

    Hello,

I'd like to test out my old J-Link with the new Cortex M7 from Atmel. (ATSAMV71) According to doc this should be supported. But when I power up the emulator it displays the attached screenshot. (... does not support the connected core: Cortex M7 ...)
I've made sure that the firmware is up to date (though the J-Link Configurator).

    Am I doing something wrong?

  • Hi Illishar,

    Cortex M7 is supported by

    J-Link EDU / BASE / PLUS V9 or higher
    J-Link ULTRA+ / PRO V4 or higher

Unfortunately, your J-Link EDU V8 does not support Cortex-M7.

    Best regards,
    Niklas
