  • Error: "Could not find supported CPU core on JTAG chain"

    Hello Group!

I keep getting the error: "Could not find supported CPU core on JTAG chain" when I try to download and debug. I'm using the IAR embedded workbench and the target CPU is the Atmel AT91SAM7L128. Anybody have any ideas???

Does the current version of SAM-ICE support the new AT91SAM7L128?

Here is the output of jlink.exe with the SAM-ICE connected to a AT91SAM7L-STK eval board:

  • This should work. Maybe you should hook up a scope and check the JTAG signals.
Maybe you should also read the "trouble shooting section" of the J-Link manual.
