J-link, programming multi-device with SWD

The link says
programming multiple devices can be done through SWD.

But we didn’t program multi-devices with
ATMEL SAM-ICE.

We want the info about how to share the
physical SWD connection between multi-chips and detail software setting.

Could you let me know how to program multi-devices
with SWD interface?

Hi,

having multiple devices (chips) connected via the same debug connector via SWD requires that the devices support SWD multi-drop.
So far, we are not aware of any official device that supports SWD multi-drop.
Which device do you use?
Do your devices support multi-drop?

If you have multi-drop capable devices, in general support for this can be implemented if you can provide a hardware that stays at SEGGER.

We are using ATMEL's cortex-M4 AT91SAM4S. I am checking with ATMEL whether this device supports SWD multi-drop. I will let you know once I got clear answer form Atmel. Thanks a lot.

Hi,Yes, it isn't supported.
We got confirmation from ATMEL that SWD Multi drop mode is not supported in SAM4S devices.
