  • NAND Flash programming iMX535, MT29F2G08ABAEAWP

    Hello

On a project we are working it is mounted a MT29F2G08ABAEAWP NAND flash device, attached to an iMX535 Cortex A8 core processor.
After a connection attempt by J-Flash, using the config attached, an error messaage occours: "Detect flash memory: unsopperted flash type....".
Is it possible to programm this NAND flasg device?

  • Hi,

Yes, in general J-Flash is able to do so.
    As mentioned many time before:
There is no generic way to detect a NAND flash connected to a MCU since from MCU to MCU and even on the same MCU there are multiple ways to connect a NAND flash.
It could be connected to a NAND flash controller or only via GPIOs (and at least in the second case the user is totally free in deciding which pins to use).

In order to program the NAND flash, you will need a so-called custom RAMCode which is especially designed for the hardware you are using.
