JFlashSPI weird behavior

Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. The issue regarding the saving of Bitpos is reproducible and will be fixed in future versions. Regarding the autodetection. We could not find any information about an ST 25PE16. Could you provide documentation about that chip? What is also weird is that you say that a N25Q016A is detected. This device type is not even known to J-Flash SPI so he should not have autodetected this chip. Best regards, Nino

[SOLVED] shared library not found in GNU/Linux

Hello Armand, That the v5.12 Software is working this way is pure coincidence due to some issues in that version. We recommend using the latest software version. Currently it is mandatory for the library to be in the same folder as the application. We will see if this can be expanded to other folders in future. This thread will be treated as solved now as the initial question has been answered. Best regards, Nino

JLINK plus on Linux

Hello Steven, Quoted If I edit JLinkDevices.xml to indicate my device as you suggested, will all the JLink* and JFlash* programs use it as a init script? That is will JFlashlite use it to prepare my flash for use? All tools that are in the same folder as the JLinkDevices.xml will reference that file and thus the JLinkScript you have set. You wrote earlier that you want to program the AT91M40800. What kind of memory do you want to program exactly? Currently J-Link supports only the internal SRAM ...

[SOLVED] shared library not found in GNU/Linux

Hello, The J-Link software package for Linux installs the software per default to /opt/SEGGER/JLink/. This is where some of the tools in the package expect the library to be. It is currently not supported to link the library from other locations. Makse sure your tools and J-Link libs are in the same folder or the library can be found in the opt/SEGGER/JLink folder. Unable to set breakpoints in iMX7 QSPI based M4 application with the J-Link Base

Hello, Quoted Question: Why doesn't the J-LINK use hardware breakpoints in this scenario instead of relying on flash breakpoints? The default is to use Flash BP to ensure that no unexpected errors show up for the user when using HW BP as they are very limited in use and many IDEs handle them incorrectly. Also HW BP are not supported by Cortex-M4 over address 0x1FFFFFFF so it would not work anyways. You can disable Flash BP e.g. in the J-Link control panel if wanted. How does uboot configure the ...

j-ling debuging in MCUXpresso IDE v10.1.1_606

Hello, From the screenshots the target voltage VTref is suspicously low. Are you running the target device in some low power mode? For this particular device 3.3 V are usually expected. If you run it in low power mode keep in mind that some modes disable debug interfaces so J-Link can't access the device anymore. We recommend driving the device at 3.3 V for debugging. Best regards, Nino

J-Link and System Workbench for STM32

Hello Ulrich, Thank you for your inquiry. Such an issue is not known to us. Please understand that we can't give support for System Workbench and the Eclipse Plugin as both are not maintained by us. From J-Link perspective the debug probe only does what the IDE requests from it. So the issue is most likely related to how the IDE handles J-Link and not J-Link itself. Did you follow our recommended setup steps for System Workbench? https://www.segger.com/products/debug-pr…ench-for-stm32/ For refer...
